Here's all the deets on the Tulsi Stress Soother powder from Lauren Hayes, founder of Wooden Spoon Herbs:
Tulsi Stress Soother was formulated to soothe the nerves and counter the harmful effects of stress, from tense shoulders to short tempers. Tulsi, ashwagandha, and oatstraw are highly potent and nourishing herbs, specifically for the support and maintenance of the adrenal glands and overall nerve tone. These herbs are called “adaptogens” - herbs that help you get through stressful times by putting you on an even keel and potentially increasing energy levels when used over a period of time. There’s a reason these herbs are so trendy right now… They really work.*
Tulsi is a species of basil, a bit more musky and spicy than the kitchen variety. It maintains optimal cortisol levels in the body, supports the nervous system, and promotes grace and ease. Our tulsi comes from a small farm in Vermont.
Oatstraw is the stalk and unripe seed of the oat plant. Yep, the same plant that gives us oatmeal gives our nervous system a deep watering when the metaphorical soil is too dry. Oatstraw calms by nourishing, and is great for both acute and everyday use. Our oatstraw comes from a certified organic farm in Oregon.
Ashwagandha is a calming adaptogen, meaning when taken over time it can calm the endocrine and nervous systems, and help repair any damaged stress has caused. Ours comes from an organic farm in Oregon, and, when available, our local farmers.
